LD Organisation (LDO) is a Belgian family business with 9 employees and 3 sites in Europe: Louvain-La-Neuve (HQ), Milan and Luxembourg. LDO offers a full-service, tailor-made solution for organizing highly specialized symposia and conferences in the field of chemistry, and particularly medicinal chemistry. Their experience is based on over 100 events, organized nationally and internationally (14 countries worldwide). LDO organizes around 10 events a year, managing up to 4,500 participants and coordinating up to 150 exhibitors over a 12-month period.

They installed our first computer network and printer, and we’ve relied on their guidance ever since, allowing us to focus on our core business: organizing conferences and symposia” says Ly Differding, the company’s founder and CEO.

When you’re organizing a dozen events all over the world with just 9 people, you need to be highly efficient and productive! This translates into a need to be continuously operational, whether we’re in Brussels, Boston or Zagreb. When we go to conferences, we need to be able to rely on our IT wherever we are. Gone are the days when I had to get down on all fours to check the network connections! We have regular updates with Manuel Bigourdan, our advensys contact. We get on very well, he’s proactive and tries to prevent potential problems. We’re happy with the service we get.”

 

“At LD Organisation, we didn’t wait for COVID to introduce remote working. Since 2012, we’ve given our employees the opportunity to work from wherever they like, especially during convention periods. On the other hand, it’s true that COVID has led us to develop virtual events in 2021 with more than 2,000 participants. Today, we offer our customers the possibility of staging hybrid events. If the event isn’t virtual, it’s often filmed so that we can offer it in “replay” mode for those who can’t attend. The digital transformation of our business has accelerated under the impulse of the pandemic.”

Our Business Unit Manager explains that advensys acts as LD Organisation’s IT manager, at least in terms of their infrastructure.

What’s more, as with all our customers hosted by OVH, since the fire we’ve been offering them the option of migrating to Microsoft Azure”.
